We had our first weekend madness of renovations and I have brochitis now - despite the respirator. I guess that gives a bit of an idication of how filthy the place was. Dusty can't describe the filth floating around the air as we pulled up carpet throughout the house.
Then It was sub-floor time! Double Nailed every 6 inches. Crow bars and cat's paws and broken backs. We managed to get all of the sub-flooring up by Saturday night and then we started sanding the two main bedrooms upstairs and the upstairs hallway.
Clancy came over Friday, Saturday AND Sunday - the guy is a machine. I think he got more done than anybody that week-end. We can't thank him enough.
Al and Lehanne came down from Fredericton on friday evening and they primed the entire living-room as well as attacking the Sub-Floor downstairs.
Rob and Greg and Lessica all were over intermitantly over the weekend and they all took huge chunks of the work. Greg and Jess scraped the stairs while Rob was a sanding machine.
We still have to paint and varathane the floors before we can move in on wednesday.
